For over 12 years, Kim has been perfecting her weaving practice, creating wearable items, gifts, and wall hangings.  Working within the constraints of an antique floor loom, her weavings are a precise craft; each individual thread precisely placed.

An Ohio native, Kim Nemeth came to Walla Walla in 2001 as an AmeriCorps volunteer with the desire to work in rural communities.  Her first position was with the Kirkman House Museum, restoring and curating local art and stories.  Working alongside local master weavers, she helped develop a Textile Center to showcase local fiber artists and the process of spinning, dying, and weaving.  Shortly after, Kim purchased her first loom and began the steady process of teaching herself how to warp a loom and weave.

The Cotton Wool Gallery & Studio was established in 2021 in downtown Walla Walla. Home to Kim Nemeth’s weaving studio, the gallery features local makers rooted in traditional crafts.
