about the maker:
The meticulous work of Jessica Cook is a meditation on connection with our environment. Often sourcing her own dye materials locally, Cook hand-dyes fabric, mainly cotton, before cutting, piecing and sewing the fabric together, a nod to traditional quilting techniques.

The resulting abstract landscapes showcase the seasonal changes of color and light in the valley. At once familiar and new, each work captures the flickering moment of now.
